Expert Drafter

This role is responsible for providing CAD support to engineering projects, working closely with the Structural Team.

• Key Responsibilities:

1. Comply with all relevant Health and Safety protocols.
2. Develop and maintain engineering drawings from sketches and design information.
3. Ensure CAD Standards and Quality Systems are met in all work.
4. Manage and review engineering drawings to ensure compliance with CAD Standards.
5. Mentor and train less experienced drafters to promote technical excellence.
6. Assist colleagues in achieving improved client feedback results and exceed client expectations.
7. Utilise high-level drafting and detailing skills to provide key technical expertise across a range of projects.
8. Apply safety in design processes and perform tasks assigned by the Principal Structural Technician or Drafting Discipline Lead.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Diploma of Engineering or Advanced Diploma of Engineering (Senior Technical Associate - CADD).
• At least eight years of relevant structural drafting experience.
• Sound understanding of industry products and their integration with BIM/DE processes.
• High-level drafting and detailing skills.
• Proficient use of CAD software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, OBM, Revit, Dynamo) and collaboration tools (ProjectWise, Bluebeam Revu, Navisworks).
• Prepares engineering drawing deliverables from sketches, calculations, and specifications.
• Exposure to different business models and industry best practices.
