The Procurement Assistant is responsible to provide administrative support to the Purchasing Department in ensuring a consistent supply of products at the right
quality, prices, etc. He/she will support trade purchasing process, maintain suppliers' relationships, product and claim process and documentation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performing research to identify potential suppliers and evaluating their qualifications
- Maintains contact with vendors regarding orders and merchandise, new products, market conditions, and trends
- Preparing purchase orders and contracts for approval by supervisors or head
- Coordinating with other departments within a company for the purchase of specialized materials or equipment
- Maintain comprehensive procurement files, including vendors, proposals, evaluations, official contracts and correspondence on all procurements, following policies and local law.
- Evaluate suppliers based on established criteria's such as quality, reliability and timeliness of delivery, pricing
- Reviews and analyzes price and item proposals for comparison
- Support Merch and finance departments to process payment to vendors.
- Perform other task that may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications:
- Preferably with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies/Management/Administration/Commerce or other related courses
- Preferably with experience in Procurement process or in related field.
- With strong communication skills
- Has excellent organizational and administrative skills
- Detail-oriented and structured
- Able to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Applications (excel, word, etc.)
- Willing to report in Makati Office
