Position: US Paralegal (Senior) / Legal Assistant

Your Role:

As a Paralegal, you will:

• Draft legal pleadings and other legal documents.
• Review court rules and apply them to assignments.
• Analyze and synthesize documents.
• Organize and maintain the litigation calendar.
• Scheduling of client meetings, hearings, and deadlines.
• Screens calls, takes messages and informs attorneys of urgent messages.
• Assemble, organize, prepare, proofread, and edit documents.
• Profile documents to document management system.
• Maintain confidentiality of client/attorney information.
• Any other duties as assigned.

What You Need:

Non-negotiables

• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm setting is required.
• Litigation Experience: The role requires multi-jurisdictional federal litigation experience, such as with USDC and USCA.
• Case Management: You must have strong knowledge of case management throughout all stages of litigation, including court rules, practices, and procedures.
• Technical Familiarity: You must be familiar with ECF/Pacer and be proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and other web-based applications.
• Core Skills: The role requires proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and filing legal documents; strong writing skills for drafting pleadings; and a working knowledge of the discovery process.

Preferred skills/expertise

• Paralegal Certificate: A paralegal certificate is preferred.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents. Familiar with ECF/Pacer.
• Strong writing skills, including the ability to draft pleadings and other legal documents.
• Working knowledge of the discovery process.
• Expert in analyzing and synthesizing information to build a case.
• Proficient at scheduling, docketing, and court e-filing.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Deadline and detail-oriented.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe, and other web-based applications.
