ROLE OVERVIEW

We are looking for a Paralegal to be part of our team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You will be responsible for a wide range of paralegal duties, including but not limited to:

  • Case Management: Conducting new client intakes, maintaining case calendars, and managing deadlines using Smokeball case management software.
  • Document Drafting & Filing: Preparing and filing pleadings, discovery documents, probate petitions, and correspondence with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Discovery Process: Managing the discovery process; organizing, analyzing, and summarizing complex medical records and financial documents.
  • Liens & Bills: Proactively tracking, managing, and negotiating medical liens and bills.
  • Client Interaction: Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and experts with utmost professionalism, empathy, and discretion.
  • Trial Support: Assisting attorneys with settlement preparation and trial preparation bundles.
  • Administrative Excellence: Performing scheduling, time entry, and other tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the legal team.

Requirements:

  • Experience with medical records, liens, medical billing, and probate law
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Outlook, and Smokeball
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Compassionate, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
  • U.S. legal experience preferred, but open to training the right candidate with strong soft skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and superb organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work the night shift (11:00 PM - 8:00 AM) onsite.
