This is a remote position.

Role Name: Paralegal - Corporate/Business Law

Schedule:

  • 35+ hours per week 

  • Mon-Fri 9am-6pm ET

Client Time zone: ET

Join a dynamic boutique law firm specializing in corporate and business law, where you'll play a crucial role supporting a tight-knit team of attorneys and staff. This position offers the opportunity to work directly with complex business contracts and corporate legal matters, making a meaningful impact on client success. You'll be working in a collaborative environment where your organizational skills and legal expertise will be highly valued and directly contribute to the firm's operations. This role is perfect for an experienced paralegal looking to deepen their expertise in corporate law while working with US time zones in a stable, long-term position.

Scope:

  • Starts at 35 hours per week, with potential for additional hours as needed

  • Work within US time zones to align with firm operations

  • Long-term commitment expected with potential for role expansion

  • Direct collaboration with small team of 3 attorneys and 2 overhead staff

  • Handle confidential client information requiring secure work environment

  • Potential for growth into additional support roles if performance is strong



Responsibilities:

  • Handle administrative work related to corporate and business law matters

  • Work extensively with contracts throughout the day, including reviewing, organizing, and managing contract documentation

  • Apply knowledge of contract types and naming conventions specific to business law

  • Provide organizational support to attorneys and overhead staff

  • Potentially handle phone duties and client communication as needed

  • Support day-to-day legal operations when other team members are unavailable

  • Maintain and organize legal documents and files

  • Assist with various administrative tasks to support the legal team's workflow

Requirements

  • Mid-level experience as a paralegal (not entry-level position)

  • Specific experience in corporate or business law (litigation and real estate experience not applicable)

  • Strong familiarity with business contracts and legal document management

  • Excellent English communication skills, including ability to handle phone conversations clearly

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative

  • Experience working with US companies or clients preferred
