Job Description:

Masagana Gas Corporation is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Legal Assistant. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in legal and administrative functions within a dynamic and growing company.

Paralegal Functions:

  • Assist in maintaining and organizing documentary papers concerning legal matters.
  • Conduct legal research and draft documents related to case investigation, case building, and fact-finding investigations in support of HR and labor cases.
  • Conduct significant research on relevant laws, regulations, legal articles, and jurisprudence.
  • Ensure compilation of HR-Legal related and administrative folders, with all legal documents properly filed.
  • Draft letter correspondences and proofread legal documents such as contracts, affidavits, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Assist in drafting correspondences and Declarations of Actual Use of Trademarks.

Administrative Functions:

  • Assist the Compliance and Admin Officer in scheduling the renewal and issuance of periodic permits and licenses.
  • Act as Secretariat in taking Minutes of Meetings, including Legal, Operations, Management, and Safety Meetings.
  • Document company vehicles and manage insurance for company assets.
  • Monitor due dates for filing Declarations of Actual Use of Trademarks and Renewal of Registration of Trademarks.
  • Assist in obtaining and processing government permits and clearances, including but not limited to those from DOE, DTI, SEC, IPOPHIL, DOLE, DENR, LGU, LTO, and LFTRB.
  • Handle Real Property Tax documentation.

Other Functions:

  • Assist in obtaining other government permits and licenses as required.
  • Assist in managing Real Property Tax matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Legal Management, Paralegal Studies, or related field.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of legal procedures and terminology is a plus.
