Role Overview
We're looking for a dynamic
Sales Manager for Xpress Merchants
to lead the launch, growth, and retention of merchants on
Xpress Eats
and later expand into
Xpress Mart
. This role is critical in driving merchant acquisition, revenue growth, and long-term partnerships.
The Sales Manager will build and execute the sales playbook, lead a high-performing sales team, and leverage their network to bring in top-tier merchants. The ideal candidate is a proven sales leader with a strong "black book" of F&B and retail contacts in the Philippines.
Key Responsibilities
Merchant Acquisition & Business Development
- Develop and execute strategies to onboard and grow merchants on Xpress Eats and Mart.
- Leverage existing industry contacts to secure major restaurant and retail partners.
- Lead direct sales efforts to close high-value enterprise accounts.
Sales Team Development & Training
- Create a
Sales Playbook
with acquisition strategies, objection handling, and retention tactics. - Train, mentor, and manage the sales team to hit KPIs.
- Monitor and coach team performance to ensure consistent results.
Merchant Growth & Retention
- Ensure merchants are activated, engaged, and retained on the platform.
- Partner with operations and marketing to drive merchant participation in promos and campaigns.
- Proactively address merchant concerns to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.
Revenue Growth & Performance Tracking
- Track merchant acquisition, retention, and transaction volumes.
- Deliver weekly and monthly reports with insights on revenue and sales performance.
- Use data-driven insights to refine strategies and optimize results.
Industry Networking & Partnerships
- Represent Xpress at industry events, meetups, and networking functions.
- Develop partnerships that strengthen brand presence and drive adoption.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of sales experience in F&B, retail, or e-commerce platforms.
- Strong network of restaurant and retail partners in the Philippines.
- Proven track record in merchant acquisition, business development, and sales leadership.
- Experienced in training and managing sales teams.
- Data-driven with strong skills in performance tracking and reporting.
