Role Overview

The Reinsurance Ops Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily functions of a specialized insurance intermediary, ensuring smooth workflows, regulatory compliance, and exceptional client servicing. This position requires a leader who understands the technical and procedural aspects of placement, documentation, and coordination among clients, partners, and reinsurers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with finance and commercial teams to deliver consistent, accurate, and timely service to partners and clients.
  • Lead and mentor the operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and process improvement.
  • Establish and refine procedures to ensure efficient handling of contracts, documentation, and statements.
  • Supervise day-to-day operational activities, including placement coordination, records management, and reporting.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls, ensuring transparency and accuracy in all processes.
  • Contribute to strategic and system improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in operations within insurance, reinsurance, or brokerage settings.
  • Proven leadership experience in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of placement workflows, documentation, and claims support in the reinsurance environment.
