Key Duties, Responsibilities and Authorities

  1. Makes recommendation on what to purchase and processes Purchase Orders upon completion of any or all of the following:

a) Upon receipt of completely signed Requisition Slip.

b) Upon receipt of completely signed General Advance Request Form.

c) Upon getting three quotes from, at least, 3 suppliers, except for exclusive suppliers.
2. Accredits suppliers based on price, quality, service, terms and warranty. Follows the procedures in accrediting local suppliers.
3. Submits monthly monitoring reports on prices of raw materials.
4. Assist in the application / renewal of permits related to purchase of materials (BIR & Customs).
5. Resolves problems and issues on purchasing.
6. Prepares the data for quarterly cost-roll in order to update the estimated purchase costs of local raw materials.
7. Prepares and maintains a complete filing system for all POs issued, records and reports.
8. Determines and develops local suppliers for raw materials and non-inventory items.
9. Assist Technical in sourcing of raw material samples for developmental projects
10. Maintains good working relationships with the local suppliers.
11. Monitors the delivery of locally purchased materials and consumables
12. Assist Sr. Purchaser in preparation of requests to pay the brokerage charges and related shipping costs.
13. Assist in the preparation of quarterly Spend Data submitted to Regional Office.
