Position Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and experienced 
Senior Accountant / Financial Analyst
 to join our Finance team. This role is instrumental in overseeing accounting operations, preparing accurate financial reports, and providing insightful analysis to guide business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting

  • Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP) and internal control procedures.
  • Prepare and review financial statements and management reports.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and support audit requirements.
  • Handle ad-hoc accounting duties to address both internal and external reporting needs.

Financial Analysis

  • Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
  • Perform variance analysis and deliver data-driven insights to support management decisions.
  • Partner with business units to evaluate financial performance and identify opportunities for cost efficiency.
  • Design dashboards and executive reports to present financial trends and performance highlights.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Prepare and file Business Activity Statements (BAS).
  • Collaborate with tax advisors on income tax returns and transfer pricing documentation.
  • Prepare and submit Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) returns.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA or CA qualification preferred.
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and/or financial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and FP&A processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
