About this role. . .

The Accountant will be responsible for managing daily, weekly, and ad hoc financial tasks, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and supporting the business with financial insights. This role requires a proactive individual with strong technical accounting skills and experience in offshore accounting practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and reconcile financial statements using Xero and Xero "Blue"
  • Complete BAS and Income Tax Returns via XPM
  • Prepare tax schedules (e.g., TPAR) and management reports
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve unreconciled items
  • Analyse financial statements and accounts for accuracy and insights
  • Use Xero Workpapers and SuiteFiles for documentation and reporting
  • Produce monthly reports and account analyses
  • Identify and correct process inefficiencies and accounting issues
  • Communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats
  • Organize tasks effectively and meet deadlines consistently

About You. . .

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent in accounting or related field
  • CPA qualified is a plus (desirable)
  • 2-3 years experience in AU accounting practice
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Familiar with Xero Practice Manager and related tax tools
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
