Position Summary:

We are seeking an Architectural Detailer with proven expertise in steel framing systems to join our client-focused delivery team. The role requires hands-on experience with ENDUROCADD (or equivalent steel framing CAD/engineering packages) to produce detailed construction and fabrication drawings for residential and light-commercial steel frame projects. The ideal candidate combines technical proficiency with structural awareness, ensuring all outputs meet design codes, manufacturing standards, and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed shop drawings, panel layouts, truss designs, and fabrication schedules using ENDUROCADD or comparable steel-frame software.
• Convert architectural/engineering drawings into accurate steel frame detailing ready for rollforming and site installation.
• Perform preliminary structural checks (connections, bracing, load paths) within the software's calculation engine to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to resolve design clashes and achieve cost-efficient solutions.
• Generate site drawings, assembly guides, and cutting lists for manufacturing and installation teams.
• Ensure outputs comply with relevant building codes and standards (Australian, U.S., or local codes, as applicable).
• Maintain version control of drawings and documentation to align with project revisions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of detailing workflows and design libraries.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Architectural Detailer, preferably within steel framing systems.
• Proficiency in ENDUROCADD or similar steel-frame CAD/engineering software.
• Strong knowledge of steel framing principles, including trusses, connections, bracing, and load paths.
• Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings and convert them into accurate steel frame details.
• Familiarity with relevant building codes and standards (Australian, U.S., or equivalent local codes).
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and coordination skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, project managers, and manufacturing teams.
• Strong documentation and version control skills to manage drawing revisions.
• Minimum of 2–3 years experience in steel framing detailing or a closely related discipline.
