Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Performance Test Engineer to join our team in the Philippines. In this role, you will take ownership of designing, developing, and executing performance test strategies for Cynapse products. You will create benchmarks, run complex test scenarios, analyze results, and work closely with engineering and DevOps teams to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.

This role requires strong technical expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to clearly communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute performance, load, stress, and scalability test plans.
• Build and maintain performance benchmarks simulating real-world usage.
• Automate performance tests and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor and analyze system performance metrics (CPU, memory, I/O, network).
• Identify bottlenecks across backend services, databases, APIs, and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with developers and DevOps to propose and verify performance improvements.
• Provide clear, actionable reports and dashboards on system capacity and performance.
• Support release readiness decisions with performance test insights.
• Work with cross-functional teams to prioritize and resolve performance issues.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of professional experience in performance testing, with solid hands-on expertise.
• Proven track record using tools such as JMeter, Gatling, Locust, k6, or LoadRunner.
• Experience with monitoring and profiling tools (Datadog, New Relic, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Java, C#, or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Experience integrating performance testing into CI/CD environments.
• Good knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases, caching systems, and messaging systems.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communicator, able to translate technical findings into business impact.
• Comfortable working independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
