About the Role

We're seeking a Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in Python, Snowflake, and data integrations to help design and build scalable, secure, and high-performing data pipelines on the Azure cloud platform. You'll play a key role in shaping our modern data ecosystem — enabling analytics, reporting (including Power BI), and machine learning through reliable, well-architected data flows. This role blends hands-on engineering with architecture and design, making it ideal for someone who thrives on both technical depth and system-level thinking.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Snowflake, and Python.

· Build scalable ETL/ELT workflows to integrate data from APIs, files, and cloud applications into the enterprise data warehouse.

· Develop, optimize, and maintain Snowflake data models, schemas, and query performance.

· Automate data ingestion and transformation processes using ADF and Python

· Collaborate with analytics teams to enable efficient Power BI data models and optimized reporting datasets.

· Work with stakeholders across analytics, data science, and business teams to ensure data is accurate, timely, and accessible.

· Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, testing, and deployment automation.

· Design and implement data integration frameworks for REST APIs, JSON, and flat-file ingestion.

· Support data governance, cataloging, and metadata management initiatives.

· Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving development standards, documentation, and best practices.

Key Skills & Experience

Must Have:

· 5+ years' experience in data engineering or a related field.

· Expert-level Python programming skills, including API integrations, data transformation, and automation.

· Strong experience with Snowflake — including data modeling, performance tuning, and SQL optimization.

· Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) for pipeline orchestration and data integration.

· Experience working with Azure SQL Database, Azure Blob Storage, and related services.

· Experience supporting Power BI datasets, semantic models, and data refresh pipelines.

· Excellent SQL skills, with the ability to write efficient, complex queries.

· Proven track record integrating data from diverse sources (APIs, ERP, CRM, flat files, etc.).

· Strong understanding of data architecture, ETL/ELT design patterns, and data lifecycle management.

Nice to Have:

· Experience with dbt for modular SQL development and data transformation.

· Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

· Exposure to data governance, data cataloging, and security best practices.
