PURPOSE

Ensures accurate accounting of cash movements, bank transactions, loan obligations, and treasury-related entries. Supports treasury operations by validating, recording, reconciling, and reporting all cash and financing activities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Treasury Accounting

  • Record daily bank inflows and outflows in the accounting system
  • Prepare journal entries for bank charges, loan amortization, interest accruals, FX gain/loss, investments
  • Ensure correct GL / account coding

Bank Reconciliation / Schedules

  • Prepare daily / weekly / month-end bank reconciliation
  • Investigate reconciling items and resolve differences with Treasury / AP / AR
  • Maintain loan schedules, interest schedules, investment placement schedules

Cashflow Support

  • Help update daily cash position and weekly cash forecast templates
  • Flag low cash levels or unusual bank movements

Reporting / Compliance

  • Prepare monthly treasury accounting reports (bank recon status, loan schedules, interest schedules)
  • Maintain proper documentation and audit trail of treasury transactions
  • Support internal & external audit

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • AR support – recording collections & deposit slips
  • AP support – validating supplier bank details, pre-checking payment requests
  • Petty cash control – spot counts / monitoring liquidation
  • Intercompany settlements – matching balances vs other units / affiliates
  • Fixed assets – tag / coordinate capex payments & clearing
  • Cost allocation tagging for brand / department spending
  • Monthly closing support – preclosing schedules, variance explanations
  • Assist in bank account documentation / KYC / signature card updates
  • Assist in setting up new banking platforms, tokens, user entitlements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS Accountancy / Finance / Business
  • Good knowledge of accounting entries and bank processes
  • Excel proficiency
  • Treasury or bank recon exposure is an advantage
