A FICO Functional Consultant's job involves
implementing, configuring, and supporting the SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling) module

Core responsibilities

  • Requirement analysis
    : Work with clients to understand business processes and financial requirements.
  • Solution design
    : Create functional specifications, blueprints, and design solutions by mapping business needs to SAP FICO functionalities.
  • Configuration
    : Customize and configure the SAP FICO modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Controlling (CO).
  • Implementation
    : Lead or support the implementation of new FICO solutions and assist with projects like data migration and system upgrades.
  • Testing
    : Develop and execute test cases, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • User support
    : Train end-users and provide ongoing support for day-to-day queries and issues.
  • Documentation
    : Create and maintain technical documentation, test cases, and process procedures.
  • Integration
    : Ensure smooth integration with other SAP modules, such as MM (Material Management) and SD (Sales and Distribution).
