Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Tax Assistant to support our accounting & finance department with administrative tasks, data entry, and the preparation of tax documents. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of tax regulations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work under pressure during tax seasons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns for individuals, businesses, or organizations.
  • Gather, organize, and verify financial and tax-related data from clients or internal sources.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date tax records and documentation.
  • Liaise with clients to request missing information or clarify data.
  • Perform basic tax calculations under supervision.
  • Assist in responding to inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Help prepare reports for senior tax staff or accountants.
  • Monitor filing deadlines and ensure timely submission of tax documents.
  • Support audit and compliance processes as needed.
  • Keep up to date with changes in tax laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accountancy.
  • Prior experience or internship in a tax/accounting environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic tax principles and accounting procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel & netsuite.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based
  • May require overtime during peak tax periods (e.g., fiscal year-end, tax season)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php20, Php22,000.00 per month
