Job description:

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Design Oversight & Technical Supervision

Lead and manage the preparation of PV system designs for residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar projects.

Review and approve electrical system designs, SLDs, layout drawings, and string sizing.

Ensure compliance with PH Grid Code, PEE Code, NEC standards, and utility interconnection requirements.

Project Coordination & Technical Support

Collaborate with sales, project management, and installation teams to ensure design accuracy and constructability.

Provide technical guidance (on-site or remote) to engineers and technicians during project execution, especially for large-scale solar farms.

Assist in preparing BOQs, selecting materials, and supporting cost estimation activities.

Quality Assurance & Documentation

Implement and enforce quality control measures for design deliverables.

Maintain updated records of engineering documents, as-built drawings, and reports.

Conduct design reviews and support both internal and external audits as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Licensed Registered Electrical Engineer (REE) in the Philippines preferred.

Experience

At least 3 years of hands-on experience in PV design engineering, with a minimum of 1 year in a lead or supervisory capacity.

Demonstrated expertise in residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar projects.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in PV design software such as PVsyst, Helioscope, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and SolarGIS.

Strong background in load analysis, cable sizing, and electrical protection systems.

Familiarity with permitting processes, net metering (ERC/DU), and interconnection standards.

Soft Skills

Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
