Job Description: The Site Engineer is responsible for supervising and overseeing all on-site activities related to the installation of solar power systems under EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) projects. This includes ground-mounted, rooftop, and hybrid solar installations for commercial, industrial, and utility-scale clients. The role ensures all construction, electrical, and installation works are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with design standards and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage day-to-day site operations for solar PV installation projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and technical standards.
  • Oversee electrical, structural, civil, and mechanical works to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to achieve smooth project execution and timely completion.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, testing, and commissioning of solar PV systems to ensure quality and performance.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, including work progress reports, inspection records, and as-built drawings.
  • Monitor inventory, materials, and equipment usage, ensuring efficient site resource management.
  • Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, providing practical engineering solutions to maintain project quality and safety.
  • Ensure adherence to QA/QC standards and EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) policies across all site activities.
  • Support project handover through system performance verification, final inspections, and client acceptance.

  • Ensure that all installation activities comply with local and national electrical codes, grid connection requirements, and renewable energy standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in solar PV installation (commercial, industrial, or utility-scale / solar farm projects).
  • Strong knowledge of solar electrical systems, inverters, and balance-of-system components.
  • Familiarity with EPC project execution and PPA framework.
  • Excellent understanding of electrical schematics, layout drawings, and site supervision practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple teams and work in outdoor site environments.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to be assigned at project sites nationwide.
