The Design Engineer candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing solar photovoltaic systems for both residential and C&I installations. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical design principles, proficiency in industry- standard design software, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, efficient, and reliable solar energy solutions

  • Gather data from existing drawings, rough sketches, surveys, and/or from general engineering and design
  • information according to established standards and procedures.
  • Conduct on-site assessments to gather data on roof dimensions, orientation, shading
  • Evaluate site conditions and constraints to inform system design and component selection.
  • Develop detailed designs for solar PV systems
  • Create and review system layouts using software tools like AutoCAD, PVsyst, Helioscope, and SolarEdge
  • Perform shading analysis and optimize array configurations to maximize energy production.
  • Design electrical wiring diagrams and schematics for solar PV systems.
  • Size and select appropriate system components, including inverters, modules, and balance of system (BOS) components.
  • Perform string sizing calculations and ensure proper array-to-inverter matching.
  • Ensure all designs comply with local, national, and international codes and standards.
  • Prepare documentation for permitting and regulatory approvals.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOM) and As- Built drawings.
