Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Audit Staff member to join our internal audit team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting operational, warehouse inventory audits and financial audits, ensuring compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements. This role is critical in evaluating the effectiveness of processes, accuracy of records, and safeguarding of assets, especially related to inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational/Warehouse Inventory Audits:

  • Conduct physical stock counts in warehouses and compare with recorded inventory.
  • Evaluate inventory management practices, storage procedures, and security controls.
  • Investigate discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review inbound and outbound logistics, stock transfers, and damaged/expired goods handling.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, FIFO/LIFO methods, and relevant inventory standards.

Financial Audits:

  • Assist in planning and executing financial audit engagements.
  • Review and verify financial statements, ledgers, journal entries, and supporting documentation.
  • Assess compliance with internal policies, accounting standards (e.g., GAAP/IFRS), and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and report financial risks, misstatements, and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit reports and present findings to management.

General Duties:

  • Document audit processes and prepare detailed working papers.
  • Assist in developing audit programs and checklists.
  • Collaborate with various departments during audits and follow-up on findings.
  • Support external auditors during financial year-end audits.
  • Continuously improve auditing procedures and best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, accounting, or related field.
  • At least 1 year experience in the same role
  • Experience in inventory/warehouse audits is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of financial and inventory control systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and audit/accounting software (e.g., SAP).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel to national warehouses from time to time.
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

Work Environment:
  • Combination of office and warehouse/field settings.
  • Occasional travel to multiple warehouse or branch locations in the Philippines
