About the role

As an Environmental Specialist at ASIAN FILIPINO (ASFIL) ENGINEERING DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION CO.', you will play a crucial role in ensuring the organisation's projects adhere to strict environmental regulations and sustainability practices. Working in our Manila City Metro Manila office, you will be part of a talented team dedicated to delivering innovative engineering solutions that minimise environmental impact.

What you'll be doing

  1. Conducting environmental impact assessments and audits to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies
  2. Liaising with regulatory authorities to ensure full compliance with all environmental laws and guidelines
  3. Implementing and monitoring environmentally sustainable practices across our construction and design projects
  4. Developing and delivering training programs to educate project teams on environmental best practices
  5. Preparing detailed reports and recommendations to senior management on environmental performance
  6. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainable solutions into project plans
  7. Staying up-to-date with the latest environmental regulations, technologies and industry trends

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related scientific discipline
  2. 7+ years of experience in an environmental specialist or consultant role, ideally within the construction industry and social screening / Assessment of water resources project will be familiar with the environmental Management Bureau (EMB) Environmental guidance.
  3. Strong technical knowledge of environmental legislation, impact assessments, and sustainable design principles
  4. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and mitigate environmental risks
  5. Expertise in using environmental monitoring equipment and data analysis software
  6. Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills
  7. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
