About the role

Join the passionate team at ASIAN FILIPINO (ASFIL) ENGINEERING DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION CO.' as a full-time RAP Specialist. This role will be based in Metro Manila and will play a pivotal part in supporting the company's community services and development initiatives, with a focus on indigenous and multicultural services.

What you'll be doing

  1. Develop and implement Resettlement Action Plans (RAPs) to support the relocation of communities affected by ASFIL's engineering projects
  2. Engage with local stakeholders, community leaders and authorities to understand needs and concerns, and incorporate these into RAP design
  3. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and standards related to community resettlement
  4. Monitor and report on the implementation of RAPs, identifying and resolving any issues that arise
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RAP requirements into project planning and delivery
  6. Provide training and guidance to project teams on best practices for community engagement and resettlement
  7. Contribute to the continuous improvement of ASFIL's community development policies and procedures

What we're looking for

  1. Significant experience (7+ years) experience in related to water resources planning, FS Preparation of an environmental Impact resettlement framework/ Plan, with actual experience in dealing with people including Indigenous People.
  2. Demonstrated understanding of indigenous and multicultural communities, and the ability to build trust and engage sensitively
  3. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate complex relationships with community leaders, authorities and project teams
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical requirements into practical solutions
  5. Degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, community development or urban planning
  6. Familiarity with relevant legislation, regulations and best practices related to community resettlement
