About the role

Join ASIAN FILIPINO (ASFIL) ENGINEERING DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION CO.' as a full-time Soil and Land Classification Specialist based in Metro Manila. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive soil and land assessments to support the company's environmental and construction projects. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the sustainability and feasibility of ASFIL's initiatives within the Science & Technology and Environmental, Earth & Geosciences industries.

What you'll be doing

  • Perform detailed soil and land surveys and analyses to classify soil types, identify geological features, and assess land suitability
  • Develop comprehensive reports and recommendations on the findings of your assessments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate soil and land data into project planning and decision-making
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ASFIL's compliance and best practices
  • Provide technical guidance and support to project managers and engineers on soil-related matters
  • Contribute to the development of innovative soil and land classification methodologies and technologies

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Soil Science, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field
  • With at least 7 years of professional experience in the field of land resource planning and conduct of soil and land classification activities in conjunction with feasibility studies of irrigation projects.
  • Proficient in the use of soil testing equipment, GIS software, and data analysis tools
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills to effectively present your findings
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project requirements
  • Knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and construction industry standards
