Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight

  • Supervise all terminal operations, including receiving, loading/unloading, storage, dispatch, and transportation activities.

  • Monitor and maintain terminal schedules and workflows to ensure on-time performance and efficiency.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.

  • Personnel Management

  • Lead, train, and evaluate terminal staff including supervisors, drivers, equipment operators, and support personnel.

  • Create shift schedules, ensure adequate staffing levels, and manage timekeeping and attendance.
  • Enforce discipline, address grievances, and ensure compliance with labor laws and HR policies.

  • Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure all terminal activities comply with health, safety, environmental, and security (HSES) regulations.

  • Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and regular drills.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety incidents and corrective actions.

  • Customer Service & Communication

  • Coordinate with clients, carriers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure seamless operations.

  • Resolve service issues promptly and professionally.
  • Prepare and submit reports on terminal performance, incidents, and client feedback.

  • Asset & Inventory Management

  • Oversee maintenance and utilization of terminal equipment and infrastructure.

  • Ensure proper inventory management and control of cargo, fuel, or other commodities as applicable.
  • Manage procurement and use of supplies, tools, and PPE.
