They are a versatile employee who supports restaurant operations by assisting in different roles as needed, especially during busy periods or staff shortages. Front-of-House Duties:

  • Customer Service:Greeting customers, showing them to tables, providing menus, and ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Order Taking:Using a Point-of-Sale (POS) system to accurately record and send orders to the kitchen.
  • Serving:Delivering food and drinks to customers and checking on their satisfaction.
  • Cashiering:Handling customer payments and providing correct change.
  • Cleanliness:Clearing tables, cleaning the dining area, and maintaining a tidy atmosphere.

Back-of-House/Kitchen Support:

  • Food Preparation:Assisting with basic food preparation such as washing, peeling, and cutting ingredients like vegetables and meat.
  • Food Safety:Following all food handling, storage, and preparation procedures to maintain hygiene and safety standards.

General Responsibilities:

  • Flexibility:Assisting in other areas of the restaurant when needed, such as stocking supplies or helping other crew members.
  • Teamwork:Collaborating with other staff members to ensure smooth restaurant operations.
  • Opening/Closing:May be involved in opening and closing procedures for the restaurant.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
