Job Description Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility A Commis Chef is responsible for supporting senior chefs in all aspects of kitchen operations.

Working under the guidance of the Chef de Partie, he/she assists in food preparation, cooking, and plating, while learning essential techniques and standards of the kitchen. Responsibilities also include washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients, preparing basic dishes, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across workstations, and ensuring proper storage of food items. The ideal candidate should be passionate about food, eager to learn, and capable of following instructions accurately.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential. A Commis Chef must also adhere to food safety regulations and contribute to the smooth and efficient functioning of the kitchen. Key competencies include the ability to build strong working relationships, a proactive drive to achieve goals and objectives, and the capacity to innovate and adapt to change.
