Job Objectives
- Requires extensive knowledge of global trade regulations and the ability to coordinate and manage shipments from multiple overseas vendors.
- Works closely with customs brokers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure shipments are compliant with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Responsible for establishing policies and standard operating procedures for the import and export process from start to finish, while managing risks to achieve customs compliance.
- Possesses excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to develop and implement effective strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesImport and Export
- Coordinate with the Compliance Manager on regulatory documents required prior to shipment and ensure availability.
- Work with brokers on timely release of shipments and delivery to 3PL warehouses and/or customer sites.
- Ensure compliance with existing government policies and procedures regarding import and export administration.
- Facilitate documentation for the following:
- Tariff Advance Ruling
- BPS/DTI Application (with close coordination with Compliance Manager)
- NTC Application (with close coordination with Compliance Manager)
- OMB Application (with close coordination with Compliance Manager)
- Manage expenses related to import and export transactions within the given budget and maintain monthly monitoring.
Policy, Governance, and Compliance
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to import and export.
- Monitor, analyze, and review import/export data to identify compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain and regularly update the import/export compliance database.
- Ensure company compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, customs authorities, and other relevant organizations.
Others
- Maintain KPIs for all 3PL partners and ensure their performance meets agreed standards.
- Prepare and analyze importation reports.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and customers.

- Operational: Logistics Director
- Functional: Logistics Director

- Internal: Finance, Sales, and Service Departments
Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies
- Graduate of a 4-year degree course, preferably with a background in Customs Administration.
- At least 8 years of experience handling Import and Export.
- Knowledge in SAP is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and internet applications.
- Team player, able to work effectively with a diverse group of people.
