Job Description:

The Retail Data Analyst is responsible for analyzing POS and retail transaction data to detect patterns, anomalies, and potential fraud, particularly in discount usage. The role supports the Retail Operations team by providing data-driven insights, dashboards, and reports to strengthen operational integrity and improve business decision-making. Beyond fraud detection, the Retail Data Analyst contributes to overall retail performance monitoring through data analysis, visualization, and reporting.

Responsibilities/Authorities:

  • Fraud Detection and Investigation

  • Monitor POS data to identify irregular patterns in transactions that involves discounts.

  • Develop parameters and queries to detect suspicious transactions or non-compliant operations.

  • Provide actionable insight to Retail Operations team for corrective actions.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Provide weekly analytical reports highlighting key operational insights.

  • Support decision-making through predictive and diagnostic analysis.

  • Data Management and Integrity

  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of POS and transactional datasets.

  • Perform routine backups to safeguard information.

  • Reporting Support

  • Provide extracted datasets to Retail Department for reporting and analysis.

  • Prepare basic transaction summaries when required by management.

  • Compliance and Confidentiality

  • Handle sales and transaction data in strict compliance with company policies.

  • Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to data privacy regulations.

Job Qualification:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Knowledgeable with data management and analysis
  • With excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be keen to details and have good presentation skills.
  • Proficient in using MS Excel. Experience in coding and/or BI reporting is good to have.
  • Willing to work onsite at Pasig City.
