Primary Objective
The
Data Analys
t works within a multi-disciplinary team, working closely with Harvey Norman IT and the commercial businesses to develop and deliver data and analytics solutions to stakeholders across the organisation.

The
Data Analyst
will analyse complex data from multiple sources to identify revenue, process and business improvement opportunities, providing new information and insights to the business to inform planning, continuous improvement and performance to Harvey Norman Commercials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identifying and collecting data from relevant sources.
  • Organising and preparing data for analysis
  • Create and maintain dashboards and data visualisations
  • Proactively analyse data to answer key requirements from changing business objectives
  • Conducting analysis to answer key business queries
  • Generate insights and identify trends and patterns
  • Collaborating with technical and non-technical resources both internal and external
  • Develop and maintain databases by getting data from multiple sources
  • Build scripts to ensure the data evaluation process is flexible and scalable across datasets.
  • Flag data cleansing opportunities to relevant teams

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics Economics or Statistics.
  • Three or more years of experience mining and visualising data as a data analyst
  • Experience working in a Commercial (B2B) business, nice to have
  • Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration
  • Strong numerical and mathematical skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking with attention to details
  • Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • High-level experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI
  • Knowledge of Microsoft D365 solutions such as Business Central and Customer Engagement
  • Experience in working in Microsoft Dataverse
  • Proficiency with databases such as SQL Server
  • Familiarity with ETL tools
  • Understanding of web technologies such as XML, JavaScript, React JS and JSON
  • Ability to simplify complex data for non-technical audiences
  • Experience in using ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Teams and MS Office Applications
  • Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration
  • Familiarity with the B2B Commercial business.
