About the Job:

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our client's team, working under the direct supervision of a Data Scientist. This role involves collecting, organizing, and interpreting statistical data to support both internal teams and external clients in making informed decisions.

  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Enhances data collection procedures for building analytical systems
  • Filter and clean data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
  • Perform other functions as assigned by the business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least three years of professional experience as a Data Analyst.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL, etc), and programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks).
  • Technical expertise in data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets.
  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of mathematical ability.
  • Methodical, logical approach with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to plan work effectively, meet deadlines, and adapt to a dynamic work environment.
  • Understanding of ethical considerations in data gathering and analysis.
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
  • Can start immediately if possible.
