The Employee Relations Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining positive relationships between the organization and its employees. The role ensures compliance with labor laws, manages workplace conflicts, oversees disciplinary actions, and promotes a healthy, fair, and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee employee relations policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on employee relations issues, performance management, and workplace conduct.
  • Handle employee complaints, grievances, and investigations in a fair and timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor employee engagement and satisfaction; recommend initiatives to improve workplace culture.
  • Manage disciplinary and corrective actions, ensuring consistency and fairness.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership to align employee relations strategies with organizational goals.
  • Prepare reports and analyze trends in employee relations to prevent recurring issues.
  • Facilitate employee training on workplace behavior, conflict resolution, and company values.
  • Represent the company during labor disputes or hearings when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations or labor relations.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and government compliance requirements (DOLE, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, etc.).
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in handling labor cases or union relations.
  • HR certification (e.g., CHRP, HRBP) is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in HRIS or other HR management systems.
