JOB TITLE: Employee Relations Manager

DEPARTMENT: Human Resources

REPORTING TO: HR Director

JOB SUMMARY

The Employee Relations Manager is responsible for leading the development and execution of strategies that foster a positive work environment, ensure compliance with labor laws, and align employee relations practices with organizational goals. This role oversees grievance handling, disciplinary processes, engagement initiatives, and labor relations, ensuring consistency and fairness across all branches or affiliates. The position serves as a key advisor to leadership on employee relations matters and drives culture alignment initiatives in collaboration with the Holding Company.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement employee relations strategies aligned with corporate HR policies and labor regulations.
  • Oversee grievance handling and disciplinary case management, ensuring due process and timely resolution.
  • Advise managers and supervisors on complex employee relations issues and provide coaching on best practices.
  • Lead employee engagement and wellness programs to enhance morale and retention.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, government reporting requirements, and internal audit standards.
  • Manage labor relations, including union negotiations and dispute resolution, if applicable.
  • Monitor and analyze employee relations trends, preparing reports and recommendations for leadership.
  • Drive communication initiatives such as town halls and policy orientations to reinforce company culture.
  • Supervise and mentor Employee Relations Officers and HR staff involved in ER functions.

  • Policy Implementation & Compliance – 100% adherence to corporate HR policies; zero audit findings.
  • Grievance & Discipline Management – Resolution within agreed TAT; high employee satisfaction scores.
  • Engagement & Culture Alignment – Quarterly engagement activities; measurable improvement in pulse surveys.
  • Labor Relations & Government Compliance – Zero violations; timely submission of mandatory reports.
  • Reporting & Analytics – Accurate monthly ER reports; actionable insights for leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in HR, Psychology, Business Administration; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5–7 years in HR with at least 3 years in Employee Relations or Labor Relations leadership.
  • Knowledge: Philippine labor laws, dispute resolution, compliance reporting, and organizational development.
