Overview

We are looking for a Patient Recall Specialist to support a Gastroenterology (GI) practice in the U.S. This role is key in helping the clinic stay connected with patients who are due or overdue for their follow-up procedures, ensuring timely scheduling, accurate patient information, and proper authorization processing.

You'll be the point of contact for recall patients, handling outreach, coordinating appointments, verifying details, and assisting with prior authorizations.

Key Responsibilities

Recall Management

  • Monitor and manage recall databases or EMR systems for patients due or overdue for GI follow-ups.
  • Generate and maintain recall lists, backlogs, and daily outreach trackers.
  • Update patient communication status and document all contact attempts in the EMR.

Patient Outreach & Scheduling

  • Contact patients via phone, text, email, or patient portal to schedule follow-up appointments.
  • Explain the importance of GI follow-ups and assist patients in selecting suitable appointment times.
  • Verify patient demographics, insurance, and referral information before booking.
  • Schedule office visits for patients who haven't been seen within a year.

Prior Authorization & Coordination

  • Obtain prior authorizations for procedures and ancillary appointments (MRI, etc.).
  • Work with insurance payers to ensure timely approval and maintain detailed records.
  • Support rollover/inbound phone coverage during recall campaigns and scheduling hours.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare or medical office setting.
  • Hands-on experience using ECW (eClinicalWorks) or other EHR systems.
  • Strong communication, follow-up, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to multitask between recall calls, scheduling, and authorization tasks.
  • Willingness to work U.S. hours (CST).
  • Experience in Gastroenterology or recall coordination preferred.

Setup

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM CST or 9 AM–6 PM CST
  • Work Type: Full-time, remote

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php20, Php50,000.00 per month
