Position Title: Quantity Surveyor Engineer (Electrical)

Position Overview

The Quantity Surveyor Engineer (Electrical) is responsible for leading quantity estimation efforts for both ongoing construction projects and projects under bidding. Under the supervision of the Engineering Manager, this role ensures that all quantity-related concerns are addressed accurately and on time. The Quantity Surveyor works collaboratively with Engineering Department team leaders and Project Leads to meet project requirements and may also supervise support staff in the Quantity Surveying, Technical Services, and Commercial Services units as needed.

Key Responsibilities

Quantity Estimation & Take-Offs

  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs for project bidding and ongoing construction activities.
  • Personally estimate electrical feeder line quantities for various projects.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all quantity estimates.

Project Coordination

  • Review project scope of works and identify all components requiring quantity estimation.
  • Coordinate with Project Teams to assess scope changes, including additional, deductive, and variation works.
  • Participate in pre-bid and clarification meetings, as well as conduct site inspections when necessary.

Collaboration Across Departments

  • Work closely with the Technical Services and Commercial Services teams to optimize cost-efficiency and value.
  • Ensure alignment with legal, contractual, and quality assurance requirements while minimizing project costs.

Supervision & Oversight

  • Supervise Engineering Support Staff involved in quantity estimation activities.
  • Provide guidance and quality control over quantity surveying outputs produced by the team.

Reporting & Communication

  • Provide timely responses and solutions to any quantity-related inquiries or issues.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to material quantities and project costing.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, both internal and external.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Must be a licensed Electrical Engineer (PRC Registered)
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or a similar role within construction or engineering sectors
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills for accurate quantity estimation
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and other estimating software/tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php24, Php28,000.00 per month
