HR Recruitment Officer – Job Description

The HR Recruitment Officer is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle—from sourcing and screening candidates to onboarding new hires. The role ensures that the organization attracts, hires, and retains qualified talent while maintaining a positive candidate experience and supporting HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for assigned positions (sourcing, screening, interviews, and job offers).
  • Coordinate with hiring managers to understand job requirements and workforce needs.
  • Post job advertisements on job boards, social media, and other recruitment channels.
  • Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline for current and future hiring needs.

Screening & Selection

  • Review résumés, conduct initial interviews, and shortlist qualified candidates.
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
  • Administer assessments or exams when required.
  • Conduct reference checks and employment verification.

Onboarding

  • Prepare job offers, contracts, and onboarding documents.
  • Facilitate onboarding orientation for new hires.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth onboarding (IT, payroll, admin).

Recruitment Administration

  • Maintain and update applicant tracking records, reports, and recruitment metrics.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly recruitment updates for HR and management.
  • Ensure accuracy of recruitment documentation and compliance with HR policies.

Employer Branding & Candidate Engagement

  • Support employer branding initiatives, job fairs, and recruitment events.
  • Maintain strong communication with candidates to ensure a positive experience.
  • Promote the company's culture and values during the hiring process.

Other HR Support

  • Assist with other HR tasks such as employee relations, HR records, or training when needed.
  • Contribute to HR process improvement and policy development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in recruitment or HR-related roles.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes and HR best practices.
  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with ATS or HRIS is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work under minimal supervision.
  • High attention to detail, professionalism, and confidentiality.
