Duties and Responsibilities:

● Welcoming customers, answering their questions, helping them locate items, and providing advice or recommendations.

● Manage transactions with customers using cash registers

● Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate

● Collect payments whether in cash or credit

● Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets

● Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information

● Greet customers when entering or leaving the store

● Maintain clean and tidy checkout areas

● Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies

● Bag, box or gift-wrap packages

● Maintain adequate change denominations in the cash drawer and request additional change

Requirements and skills:

  • Proven work experience as a Server, Wait Staff Member
  • Ability to build relationships with colleagues and customers and ensure mutual satisfaction
  • Customer-oriented and planning skills
  • Working knowledge of cash register and any ordering information system
  • Outstanding people skills
  • Patient and friendly with demonstrated experience in problem solving
  • Good physical condition
  • High school diploma; food safety training will be a plus
