Job Summary

The Accounts Receivable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the company's receivables function to ensure timely collection, accurate recording, and proper reporting of customer accounts. He/She supervises the AR team, monitors compliance with company policies, and provides financial data to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the end-to-end accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and proper documentation of transactions.
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables, addressing discrepancies or issues with clients as needed.
  • Oversee the encoding of receivables and collections into the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Review and approve daily deposit slips and collection reports prepared by staff.
  • Ensure proper filing and safekeeping of invoices, official receipts, and supporting documents.
  • Prepare periodic AR aging reports and collection efficiency analyses for management review.
  • Coordinate with collectors/messengers and assist in collection activities when necessary.
  • Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to AR staff to achieve departmental KPIs.
  • Collaborate with other finance functions to align receivables with overall cash flow and financial planning.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the immediate superior for job development and operational support.
  • Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field
  • At least three (3) years of experience in accounting, with focus on receivables and collections
  • Supervisory experience preferred, with strong ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and accounting processes
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of integrity, responsibility, and attention to detail
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with clients and internal teams
