Job Summary:

The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. This role ensures the accuracy and timeliness of financial records, compliance with Philippine tax regulations (e.g., BIR), and implementation of internal controls. The Accounting Supervisor leads a team of accountants or accounting staff and coordinates closely with other departments to support financial reporting and audit processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and review the work of accounting staff including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll entries.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with BIR regulations, including timely filing of VAT, Withholding Tax, Income Tax, and other statutory requirements.
  • Monitor daily financial transactions and ensure proper documentation and classification.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Support internal and external audit processes by providing requested documentation and schedules.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and ensure all reconciling items are resolved promptly.
  • Coordinate with other departments for budget monitoring, variance analysis, and other finance-related concerns.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred but not always required, depending on company size.
  • At least 3–5 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws and BIR processes.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php30, Php35,000.00 per month
