At NCS, a leading Technology Services Firm, our Corporate Units play a key role in supporting business growth and integrity. As an Accounting Officer, you will help in giving management a better appreciation and basis for decision-making.

The role is also designed to provide opportunities to enhance decision-making and problem solving capabilities, and formulating solutions and recommendations that would benefit the organization as a whole.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly and Quarterly reporting – focuses on preparation and timely submission of all required Reporting Package and Annexes which includes detailing balance sheet, P&L, and intercompany balances.
  • GL Maintenance – mainly involves monitoring and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving long outstanding items, identifying significant movements or changes in the accounts (to be distributed upon assuming additional/new responsibilities)
  • Fixed Assets Maintenance – covers monitoring of fixed assets listed in the books, ensuring assets are all properly accounted for, by keeping details in SAP up-to-date and movements of the assets are tracked. Also responsible for leading the Annual Fixed Asset Verification exercise, and preparing the necessary reports.
  • Accounts Receivable Monitoring and Collections – ensures that DSO average days are within 45-60 days; checks SIRs for accuracy of amounts and information indicated therein before sending out to customer; monitors and follow-up on collections, and assists to ensure that invoice requirements submitted to customer are complete to avoid collection issues and delays; escalates immediately any concerns on collections or billing to management
  • Budget preparation (AOP) – to assist in review and consolidation of data from various units, analyse trends and highlight any inconsistencies or significant changes in the budget vs past performance; update BPC and participate in updating various forecasts within the required timelines
  • Expense Management – alongside preparation of P&L reports for submission to Singtel and NCS, conduct monthly review of expenses and monitor any spikes and inconsistencies against budget and previous year(s)

Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Familiarity with Credit management, experienced in financial reporting; has working knowledge/experience in cash management (Treasury/AR/AP), intercompany, fixed asset, and general accounting
  • Working knowledge in the following: General Accounting (including fixed assets accounting), Budgeting/forecasting, Cash management/Credit and collection, Intercompany accounting
  • Familiarity with system (SAP/BPC)
  • Preferably someone who can work under pressure with minimal supervision
