The Accounting Officer is responsible for performing a variety of accounting and financial tasks to ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions. The role involves maintaining general ledger accounts, preparing financial statements and reports, assisting in budget preparation, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

A. General Accounting

  • Prepares journal entries and maintains accurate general ledger records.
  • Reviews and reconciles account balances and bank statements.
  • Monitors and maintains accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Ensures timely posting of all financial data into the accounting system.
  • Assists in month-end and year-end closing activities.

B. Financial Reporting

  • Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Assists in the preparation of budget forecasts and financial analysis.
  • Provides financial data and analysis to support management decision-making.
  • Coordinates with auditors during internal and external audits.

C. Compliance and Documentation

  • Ensures compliance with company policies, internal controls, and statutory requirements.
  • Prepares and files government reports such as BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and other related regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains organized and up-to-date financial records and supporting documents.

D. Coordination and Support

  • Coordinates with other departments for financial data, billing, and payment concerns.
  • Provides assistance in process improvements within the accounting department.
  • Performs other related functions as may be assigned by the immediate superior.
