Location: In-Office – Philippines

Department: Intake – Employment & Workers' Compensation

About the Role:

We are a fast-growing California-based law firm seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intake Specialist to join our team. You will be the first point of contact for potential clients, conducting interviews, gathering important case details, and assessing if the matter meets our case criteria under California employment and workers' compensation laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming calls, SMS, and emails from prospective clients
  • Conduct interviews to gather employment history, workplace conditions, injury details, and timelines
  • Identify potential legal issues such as wrongful termination, discrimination, unpaid wages, harassment, or work-related injuries
  • Enter client information into our case management system accurately and completely
  • Follow up with clients for missing documentation or case updates
  • Apply firm criteria and legal guidelines to assess case viability
  • Coordinate with supervisors and managers to ensure smooth case handover

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred; paralegal certification is an advantage
  • Experience in legal intake, telecommunication roles, or customer service preferred
  • Knowledge of California labor and workers' compensation laws is a plus
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Computer literacy and ability to manage high call volume
  • Bilingual (Spanish or other language) is an advantage
