Key Responsibilities:

  • Shopify Store Development & Customization:

Design, develop, and customize Shopify themes and templates according to client requirements. Ensure the store is visually appealing, user-friendly, and fully responsive across all devices.

  • App Integrations:

Integrate third-party apps and services (e.g., payment gateways, CRM systems, marketing tools) into the Shopify platform to extend functionality.

  • Custom Shopify Features:

Build custom Shopify features and functionalities using Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs to meet business requirements.

  • Performance Optimization:

Optimize the performance of Shopify stores for speed, security, and scalability. Ensure that the stores load quickly and perform well under heavy traffic.

  • Quality Assurance & Testing:

Conduct thorough testing of Shopify stores to ensure proper functionality, compatibility, and responsiveness. Debug and fix any issues that arise.

  • E-Commerce Strategy Support:

Work with marketing and product teams to implement strategies for driving conversions, improving user experience, and enhancing overall store performance.

  • Ongoing Maintenance:

Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Shopify stores, including troubleshooting issues, implementing updates, and ensuring smooth functionality.

  • Client Support:

Communicate with clients to understand their requirements, provide updates, and resolve any issues. Train clients on how to manage their Shopify stores, update products, and handle orders.

  • Collaborate with Cross-functional Teams:

Work closely with designers, content creators, and digital marketers to ensure the store's design and functionality align with business goals and brand standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • At least 2 years of experience working with Shopify, including customizing themes, integrating apps, and developing Shopify stores from the ground up.
  • Proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Experience with Shopify Plus, and customizing or optimizing e-commerce solutions for large-scale stores.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design and ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
  • Familiarity with Shopify APIs, including RESTful and GraphQL, for integrating third-party apps and services.
  • Solid understanding of SEO best practices for e-commerce websites, including optimizing product pages, metadata, and URL structures.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues related to functionality, performance, and user experience.
  • Experience integrating payment gateways, shipping providers, and other third-party services with Shopify.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering high-quality work on time.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative in finding creative solutions for unique e-commerce challenges.
  • Version control experience using Git for code management and collaboration.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with design, marketing, and product teams, and to communicate directly with clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
