Ecommerce Web Designer

• Website Design & Development:

Design and develop visually appealing e-commerce websites that are user-friendly, responsive, and optimized for conversions. Ensure designs align with brand identity, business goals, and target audience preferences.

• User Experience (UX) Optimization:

Focus on creating seamless, intuitive, and engaging user experiences for all site visitors, from product discovery to checkout. Conduct user research, wireframing, and prototyping to improve the overall UX.

• Responsive Design:

Ensure all web designs are fully responsive and optimized for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Prioritize mobile-first design principles to accommodate growing mobile commerce traffic.

• E-commerce Platform Expertise:

Design e-commerce websites on platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, or Magento. Customize themes, implement new features, and enhance the overall look and functionality of the online store.

• UI Design:

Work on designing and updating page layouts, product pages, navigation, and interactive elements to ensure a clean and visually appealing interface that is easy to navigate.

• Collaboration:

Collaborate with developers to bring designs to life, ensuring pixel-perfect implementation. Work closely with marketing, product, and development teams to understand business objectives and translate them into effective design solutions.

• Performance Optimization:

Design with performance in mind, ensuring websites load quickly and efficiently. Implement strategies for improving site speed, image optimization, and other front-end performance factors.

• A/B Testing & Conversion Rate Optimization:

Participate in A/B testing and other user feedback mechanisms to continuously improve designs and optimize conversion rates across product pages, checkout, and other critical touchpoints.

• Trend Research:

Stay updated on the latest design trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure the e-commerce website remains modern and competitive.

• Ongoing Maintenance:

Provide ongoing design support to ensure the website is up-to-date with seasonal promotions, new product launches, and other marketing initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2+ years of experience designing e-commerce websites, preferably on platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, or Magento.
• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript to create responsive, user-friendly web pages.
• Proficient in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• In-depth understanding of user experience (UX) principles, including wireframing, prototyping, and user flows.
• Experience with responsive web design, ensuring websites are optimized for mobile, tablet, and desktop devices.
• Solid understanding of conversion rate optimization (CRO), with a focus on improving e-commerce conversion rates through design and layout.
• Familiarity with SEO best practices to ensure the websites are search engine friendly and optimized for visibility.
• Strong visual design skills, including an eye for detail in typography, color schemes, spacing, and overall aesthetics.
• Experience with CMS platforms like Shopify, WordPress, or Magento, including theme customization and template design.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with a focus on troubleshooting design-related issues.
• Ability to work collaboratively with developers, marketers, and other team members to bring design concepts to life.
• Strong communication skills to effectively discuss design concepts and provide feedback.
