Principal Accountabilities

  • To manage and give the required supports for all geotechnical and testing works for projects.

  • To manage and organise all geotechnical investigation works.

To liaise with laboratory regarding sample collection and analysis.

  • Perform land based and/or marine Geotechnical drilling and sampling operations.

  • Perform Geotechnical analysis of soil samples and study to assess site conditions.

  • Verification and validation of assumed soil conditions during project execution.

  • Analysis, recommendations and design of ground improvement for structural support.

  • Review and approve geotechnical design developed by third party consultants.

  • Plan and conduct geotechnical investigation effectively.

  • Analyse geotechnical findings, perform appropriate calculations and prepare data reports to Manager.

  • Develop proposals and determine cost and schedule for investigations.

  • Provide direction to project team in field inspection activities.

  • Interact with customers and team members to complete the assigned project on-time.

  • Supervise the acquisition of geotechnical investigations data during test execution.

  • Create Soil Models with different soil classifications.

  • Create GIS and FileMaker Data Base and soil maps.

  • Process and maintain GIS data base for all geotechnical and survey data of all relevant project areas

  • Create specific GIS maps as per requirements.

  • Use GIS as decision tools as per requirements.

  • Create progress charts based GIS map.

  • Follow up and logging of all data required for GIS mapping and processing.

  • Analyse geotechnical data and assist in preparation of geotechnical interpretative reports (GIR).

  • Analyse geotechnical findings, perform appropriate calculations and prepare data reports.

  • Analyse the soil parameters and assess the stability of structures.

  • Assist the supervision of site and ground investigations.

  • Review geotechnical design developed by third party consultants and verify geotechnical aspects.

  • Follow up soil investigations for projects and tenders.

  • Assist Soil Improvement works.

  • Assist the evaluation and accepting criteria testing for soil improvement works (e.g. CPT, density test).

  • Ensure correct data processing and design as per QA/QC procedure and standards.

  • Interact between CPT and drilling operations.

  • Plan and conduct geotechnical investigation effectively.

  • Make sure to maintain a high quality, safe and effective geotechnical drilling and sampling service and according to international standards.
