Duty Engineer

BASIC PURPOSE/JOB BRIEF

• To ensure all MEPF facilities services at BOH areas are checked, managed, maintained, and operated at optimum efficiency.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• You will be responsible for at least the following areas and duties in your role:
• General maintenance of MEPF & BOH area facilities services.
• Be presentable and always maintain a pleasant demeanor.
• Managing the inputs of the various departments.
• Ensure the successful delivery of MEPF & BOH Facilities.
• Follow ups with various departments, incl. trouble shooting and problem solving.
• Prepare and submit MEPF & BOH facilities reporting.
• Attend all department meetings as required.
• General procedures, and maintenance scheduling.
• Provides regular updates to Facilities Management on work orders.
• Perform assessments on MEPF & BOH issues with equipment, perform troubleshooting with the technical team and analyze results to be able to identify and establish corrections, repairs, and maintenance plans.
• Perform Inspections, Testing and Maintenance Operations tasks.
• Coordinate and inspect works of contractors/ vendors including planning, work calendar, maintenance, performance, and evaluation of contractors/vendors.
• As directed by the Manager / Director / VP/ Head of Facilities Management:
• Ensure efficient operations and maintenance, availability, reliability and performance of all MEPF & BOH engineering systems including (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, fire, kitchen and ELV etc.).
• Coordinates all activities with facilities team for all service requests, concerns and ensures issues are addressed and resolved with the "no time lost" disruption to the operations.
• Respond to any facilities and critical equipment related incident with the technicians promptly including emergencies as required.
• Performs a daily walk through and inspection of facilities for maintenance, housekeeping, defects, and scheduled repairs.
• Coordinate with other department's counterparts to ensure their satisfaction on quality and progress.
• Create departmental training programs among engineering employees and create opportunities to multitask.
• Distribute the work to tradespersons and subordinates according to their capabilities to get the best results to the specified standards.
• Manage a Team (as and when required).
• Ensure all tasks are completed promptly and to required standards

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Engineering Degree (Hospitality) Electrical and or Mechanical
• Facility Management Engineering services
• Languages English, Tagalog and Chinese (well regarded)
• General report and response duties
• Competent with Microsoft applications
• Use of computer aided control systems
• Use of BMS and Equipment maintenance scheduling and operations, including repairs and breakdown responses
• Degree or Certificate in facility management, or engineering (Hospitality), or building trades.
• At least 5 years related facilities maintenance experience.
• Comprehensive and Preventative Maintenance experience is planning and scheduling is necessary.
• Knowledge of building construction and MEPF processes and procedures, equipment, tools, materials, and their application
• General working knowledge of all aspects of issues in a hotel building (e.g., Mechanical, electrical, Plumbing and Fire, Kitchen and ELV services) background.
• Ability to work with facilities team to prioritize maintenance requests.
• Good health
• Supervisory experience
• Capability of lifting and walking up and down stairs and ladders
• Experience with the below aspects will be well regarded:
• Casino / Hotel / Public Area Facilities.
• 5-star property maintenance.
• Building Asset Management Systems.
• Possess knowledge and/or experience in using tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned duties.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety and personal safety requirements
