JOB SUMMARY

The Data Security & Compliance Officer is responsible for the assessment, overseeing and implementation of any related IT security technology infrastructures, updates, newsfeed, standards and compliance across the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that any security flaws, deficiencies and gaps are managed, addressed and resolved. Increase security maturity and awareness within the group, peers, colleagues and associates
  • Demonstrate ethical and creative thinking and effective decision-making to properly assess and implement root cause analysis and evaluation
  • Ensure that security findings, documents, reports and remediation process and validation are properly handled and completed
  • Ensure that recommendation reports are treated fair, appropriate and balanced
  • Ensure matrix report, root cause analysis and others are provided by supporting documents
  • Maintain, strictly enforce, revise and implement security policies and procedures and standards
  • Oversee the dissemination of policies and procedures, standards and others within Newport World Resorts
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of security architecture, principles, standards, policies, procedures and control
  • Ensure that all security-related requirements are properly addressed, documented and complied to the standard operating procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/ Information Systems/ Information Technology or other similar courses
  • Has at least three (3) years working experience in the related field
  • Must have basic experience and foundation with these security infrastructures: Firewall, Antivirus, Email and Web security gateway, IPS/IDS and others
  • Possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Resourceful and can work with minimal supervision
  • With background in troubleshooting
  • With excellent critical thinking skills and strong attention to details
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Can work effectively in a team
  • Adaptable and can handle stressful and high pressure situations
