The role of the Product Manager - Ob Gyn is to market revenue generating products that contribute to the overall revenue of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Management:

  • Oversee the lifecycle of OB GYN products, from market research and product development to launch and post-launch support.
  • Develop and implement product strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Manage product portfolios, ensuring that each product meets market needs and contributes to the company's growth.

Revenue Generation:

  • Set and achieve revenue targets for OB GYN products.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying trends and opportunities for revenue enhancement.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute sales strategies that maximize product revenue.

Business Development:

  • Identify and evaluate new molecules for potential launch in the OB GYN market.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs and competitive landscapes.
  • Work closely with R&D and regulatory teams to ensure that new products meet regulatory requirements and are positioned for successful market entry.

Launch Revenue:

  • Plan and execute successful product launches, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned and prepared.
  • Set launch revenue targets and develop strategies to achieve them.
  • Monitor launch performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize results.

Training of Sales Force:

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for the sales force on OB GYN products.
  • Ensure that sales representatives have the necessary product knowledge and detailing skills to effectively communicate product benefits to healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct regular assessments and provide feedback to improve sales force performance.

Key Performance Metrics:

  • Revenue Targets: Achievement of revenue targets for OB GYN products.
  • Product Launch Success: Successful execution of product launches, measured by launch revenue and market penetration.
  • Sales Force Performance: Effectiveness of the sales force, measured by product knowledge exams and detailing skills assessments.
  • Business Development: Identification and evaluation of new molecules for potential launch, measured by the number of new products brought to market.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration).
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product management, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong understanding of OB GYN products and the healthcare market
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and leadership skills.
