Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated NetSuite Financials Lead to join our dynamic team. This is a key functional role responsible for the administration, optimization, and strategic management of our NetSuite financial systems. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in core NetSuite accounting modules and will serve as the primary subject matter expert for all financial processes within the platform. You will work closely with the finance, accounting, and operations teams to ensure our NetSuite environment effectively supports our business objectives, particularly around our multi-entity structure, accounting operations, and financial reporting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Strategy & Optimization: Serve as the functional owner of NetSuite's financial modules. Analyze business requirements, identify opportunities for process improvement, and translate them into effective NetSuite solutions.
  • General Ledger & Entity Management:
  • Lead the configuration and maintenance of the General Ledger, including the chart of accounts, accounting periods, and segment structures (classes, departments, locations).
  • Manage the setup and maintenance of legal entities and subsidiaries, ensuring proper intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidations.
  • Oversee the structure and governance of cost centers and other financial segments to ensure accurate reporting and analysis.
  • Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Cycle:
  • Administer and optimize the Accounts Payable (AP) module, including vendor management, invoice processing, and payment workflows.
  • Manage and refine the Purchase Order (PO) process, ensuring proper workflows, approvals, and matching.
  • Fixed Assets Management:
  • Own the Fixed Assets module, including asset creation, depreciation schedule management (e.g., Straight-Line, Double-Declining), asset disposal, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards for asset capitalization and depreciation.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
  • Develop, customize, and maintain a suite of financial reports, saved searches, and dashboards to support business needs (e.g., Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Budget vs. Actual).
  • Assist the finance team with month-end and year-end close processes within NetSuite.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy for all financial reporting.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience:
  • 7 years of hands-on functional experience with NetSuite ERP, with a strong focus on financial modules.
  • Proven experience as a functional lead, or senior financial analyst in a NetSuite environment.
  • Core Financial Expertise:
  • In-depth, practical knowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, and Fixed Assets modules.
  • Demonstrable experience with multi-entity and multi-currency consolidations.
  • Strong understanding of core accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in creating complex saved searches, custom reports, and dashboards.
  • Experience with NetSuite's CSV import tools for data migration and updates.
  • Familiarity with financial system workflows and approval processes.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NetSuite Certified: NetSuite Certified ERP Consultant or NetSuite Certified Financial User.
  • Previous experience in a lead role, guiding projects and mentoring junior team members.
  • Basic understanding of SuiteScript or the ability to read and interpret existing scripts.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent designation.
