Commercial Manager

Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Commercial Manager to lead and grow the commercial operations in the Philippines. This role is critical to expanding market presence, driving sales performance, and managing key customer relationships. You will act as the primary commercial representative in-country, working independently while collaborating closely with regional teams.
This is a strategic, high-impact position suited for a commercially driven leader with strong industry experience in packaging, machinery, or FMCG manufacturing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow key accounts to achieve revenue, margin, and profitability targets.
- Develop and execute sales and business plans aligned with regional commercial strategy.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities using a consultative, solution-based sales approach.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to optimize customer value and cost-to-serve.
- Negotiate and manage long-term supply agreements and commercial contracts.
- Expand the packaging and solutions portfolio across existing and new clients.
- Provide ongoing market insights on competitors, trends, technologies, and customer activity.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships across customers, suppliers, and industry partners.
- Act as the customer advocate internally to ensure alignment and service excellence.
- Report sales activities, pipeline status, and forecasting through the CRM system.
- Conduct regular customer visits (approx. 50% travel).
- Resolve quality issues using established NCR processes and internal support teams.
- Prepare and deliver customer briefings, proposals, and presentations.
- Maintain high professional standards and promote ethical business practices.
- Support internal communication, collaboration, and overall team morale.
- Work flexibly and travel as required by the business.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related fields.
- 10+ years of proven experience in Business Development, Sales, or Key Account Management.
- Strong commercial background with demonstrated P&L exposure and experience establishing new business operations.
- Industry experience in packaging, filling/processing machinery, industrial equipment, or FMCG manufacturing solutions preferred.
- A solid professional network and strong relationships with decision-makers in client organizations.
- Skilled in negotiations, account management, and solution selling.
- Ability to work independently in a remote/field environment while coordinating with regional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
